Playing VR games can be an AMAZING workout. We’ve known that for a while. That’s why we’ve partnered with our pals at Resolution Games (Racket Club) and Cloudhead Games (Pistol Whip) to deliver more than just a bundle sale. We’re issuing an early summer challenge to kick you into high gear – and have some fun while doing it!
Make sure to follow #TripleSweatVR for motivation and giveaways from all three of us over the next 30 days!
…but, yes, it all starts with an awesome sales deal. All three games, %50 off.

Look for The Triple Sweat Bundle on the Meta Store and Steam Store pages.
THE TRIPLE SWEAT CHALLENGE

Here’s the 30 day gaming gauntlet we’re throwing down. In the graphic, you’re going to see all the suggested activities for Racket Club, Pistol Whip….and, of course, Synth Riders.
We HIGHLY recommend that you swing by Cloudhead Games’ and Resolution Games’ blogs RIGHT NOW! They’ve got their breakdown of the next 30 days’ worth of fitness fun.
Below, we’re putting a little more detail into how to ride those rails and work up a sweat in style.
HEADS UP: Inside the game’s Challenge+ section, we’re going to be dropping even tougher versions of the 30-day activities listed here. So, consider yourself….CHALLENGED.
June 20: Tonight’s Hard! Play Sunset Neon’s “Tonight” w/ Force mode
While Force mode isn’t about boxing / hitting the notes, you can certainly go for it — just turn on “No Fail.” It won’t be about getting a good score, it’s about getting out there and doing it!
June 23: A-Void the obstacles in “Into the Void”
Practice your squats in the wall tunnels – bonus, set your height a little lower if you want more challenge!
June 26: The Electro-Swing Warm-Up. Pick Five 120 bpm tracks to start your day!
Dip into our Electro-Swing tracks to kick things off. More ambitious? Jump into Racket Club or Pistol Whip (or BOTH!) after this swingin’ warm-up routine.
June 29: Move like weird “Voidwalkers.”
Keep your elbows close to your body as you play and move a little like you’re creepin’ in the void. This will encourage you to shift your bodyweight and use your legs to follow the notes! DISCLAIMER: If you’re doing it right, you’re going to look like a weirdo.
July 2: Take a step outside with “Paris Night Walk”
Get your feet moving by sidestepping the walls. Bonus: Play this in Spiral Mode, you’re going to have to get down low and lean hard to go all the way around the cylinder in the wall sections while keeping your full combo.
July 5: Play through 80s Mixtape Side A AND Side B (DLC) at the highest difficulty you can manage.
If it’s too much for you, take a break between sides of the Mixtape or add a couple modifiers to make it easier for you to focus. Maybe add “No-Fail” mode.
July 8: Headbang with the Dead through “Go” by Dance With the Dead
Of course your headbanging may vary (Don’t hurt your neck!), but your goal should be to move more of your upper body while riding the rails. Kind of like being in a mosh pit…without actually being IN the pit.
July 11: S.W.E.A.T. playing Prizm’s “L.O.V.E.” (Normal difficulty)
If trying to chase a score is too much on this one, no-fail mode is always an option. After all, it’s about getting out there and L.O.V.I.N.G. what you’re doing!
July 14: Non-stop dance mayhem during “Nightmare Cure” in Spiral Mode.
Sure, Synth Riders tracks head and arm movement, but activate Spiral Mode and move your feet as well! Bonus points if you bop to the beat with your feet while going.
July 17: Shadow box to the beat in “Takeover” by Zardonic (Hard difficulty)
Bashing notes to the beat will give you one HELL of an upper body and cardio workout. So be sure to take a break after trying this activity. Check your heart rate, stretch, then get back to the fun when you’re feeling ready!
YOU CAN GET A REAL WORKOUT FROM PLAYING VR GAMES?!?!?!
Hell yes! Don’t believe us? There’s plenty of testimonials in our reviews and random Reddit comments. People saying that inserting a game into their daily routine helps them shed over 20 pounds. Folks that say playing games can be more effective than jogging.
As ZealousIdeal_Fun6677 put it:
Dancing in VR for weight loss with Synth Riders:
Pros:
– Somehow I burn even more calories than I would jogging (500+ in 30 minutes according to apple watch)
– Fun upbeat music
– Don’t even have to know how to dance, built in choreography coach, just need a sense of rhythm and working eyes and arms
– Can do it anytime as long as I have electricity and enough room to extend my arms
– Can stop anytime I want
– The thing fits in a shoebox
– The most fun I’ve ever had in my f***king life
– Seriously guys, it’s the best
