Synth Riders – Code of Conduct

Rider’s Code of Conduct (Short version)

Last Updated: 19 May 2025

Synth Riders is a safe, enjoyable and inclusive space where Riders are free to play in the way they enjoy – be it for music, dance, socialising, fitness or competitive play.

As a community, we all share in creating a space where All Are Welcome, where we Ride With Respect, Ride Safe, Ride Fair. Each Rider is responsible for how they behave in our community in game and online, and we expect Riders to be familiar with our Code of Conduct and interact accordingly.

We’ve made a summary of those expectations below – you’ll find a full version at the end of the document.

All Are Welcome

• All Riders are welcome, and should be able to play free from harassment, abuse and hatred.
• Be considerate to others, they may have perspectives which differ from your own.
• Help new Riders to learn the game and about our community’s expectations when needed.
• Hateful, discriminatory, or derogatory comments about a Rider’s gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities, race, ethnicity, nationality or religion are unacceptable.
• Show respect, kindness, encouragement and good sporting behaviour towards other Riders.

Ride With Respect

• Use appropriate language, particularly in public spaces. Riders come from diverse backgrounds and all ages. This applies to room and player names.
• Respect others’ boundaries. If someone asks you to stop saying something or doing something, then stop – even if you don’t think it’s offensive.
• Respect the Host’s choices – it’s their room, they set their rules and communicate those with room tags. You are always free to open your own room.
• Threats, harassment, inappropriate behaviour, sexual suggestions, bullying and other kinds of misconduct are unacceptable.
• If you experience unwelcome behaviour, or see someone being harassed, make use of our in-game mute, ban, block and report tools and leave if necessary.

Ride Safe, Ride Fair

• Don’t misuse the report system to make frivolous, malicious or fake reports. Reports are not anonymous, use them responsibly and in good faith. Abusing the reporting tools to target, retaliate or harass is unacceptable.
• Don’t ask for or give out your private, personal information to anyone in multiplayer settings, such as your name, age, location, images, financial info, or video, especially with passthrough. No one at Synth Riders will ask for your personal information in-game.
• Using cheats, cracks, hacks and exploits for competitive advantage or piracy have consequences, including bans.
• Don’t promote dangerous or illegal activities, including but not limited to doxing, stalking, abuse, phishing, self-harm. If you see this happening, please report it.
• Don’t impersonate other Riders, developers, officials, streamers, celebrities etc.

Managing Your Safety

In Multiplayer, if someone is behaving in a way that doesn’t reflect this Code of Conduct there are in-game options available to manage your interactions with them.

• The room host may remove someone from the room with a BAN, or may GLOBALLY MUTE them so that no one else can hear them.
• Individuals may MUTE others, BLOCK them to avoid interactions and/or REPORT inappropriate behavior falling into the categories as follows:

Synth Rider’s Code of Conduct (Full version)

This Code of Conduct (“Code”) outlines the expectations and responsibilities of all users (“you” or “Users”) when engaging with Synth Riders (“Game”) and its related features, services, and community spaces (“Services”). These Services include, but not limited to, multiplayer interactions, online forums, Discord channels, and official social media pages operated by or on behalf of Kluge Interactive (“Kluge Interactive”, “us”, “we”, and “our”).

We also maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any conduct that endangers minors, including grooming, solicitation, or inappropriate communications or interactions with children in any form. In such cases, we may report the conduct to relevant law enforcement or child protection authorities as required by law or where we determine, in our sole discretion, that such action is necessary to protect the safety of our users and the integrity of the Game.

I. Inappropriate Content: Creating or sharing offensive player names, room names, avatars, or other explicit material, including pornographic or excessively violent content.

To foster a positive and secure community, Users must:

B. Follow Host Guidelines. Where multiplayer experiences have a Host or Moderator, comply with room-specific rules established by Room Hosts, provided these rules align with this Code. Hosts may use in-game tools to address violations, but we reserve the right to review and overturn Host actions if inconsistent with this Code.

C. Maintain Gameplay Integrity. Use the Game only as intended, without exploiting glitches, unauthorized modifications, or other activities that compromise the integrity of gameplay. Users are expected to report any exploits or bugs to Synth Riders Support.

D. Adhere to Third-Party Platform Terms. Adhere to all applicable terms and conditions of third-party platforms through which our Services accessed. Violations of platform policies may result in enforcement actions by both the platform and us.

E. Safeguard Privacy. Don’t ask for or share personal or private information in multiplayer settings. This includes your name, age, location, images, financial information, or video, especially when using passthrough features. No one from Kluge Interactive will ever ask for your personal information in-game. Always play with your own safety and privacy in mind.

F. Report Responsibly. Report Code violations constructively. Frivolous, malicious, or knowingly false reports may result in enforcement actions.

G. Cooperation with Investigations. Participate in our investigations of reported violations when requested. Failure to cooperate may impact the outcome of the investigation and could result in additional penalties.

H. Protect Account Access. Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their account credentials and for all activities conducted under their account. Sharing accounts or allowing unauthorized access is strictly prohibited. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify Synth Riders Support immediately.

IV. REPORTING VIOLATIONS & SAFETY TOOLS

We are committed to maintaining a secure and welcoming environment through robust reporting tools, safety features, and moderation processes.

A. Reporting Violations. Users may report violations of this Code using in-game tools or official support channels. When reporting a violation, users may select from specific in-game categories, including: (i) Inappropriate Player Name, (ii) Inappropriate Room Name, (iii) Inappropriate Behavior, (iv) Inappropriate Language, (v) Cheating/Hacking, and (vi) Harassment/Misconduct. Reports must be specific and include details such as timestamps, screenshots, or other relevant evidence to assist in the investigation. Reports are treated as confidential but are not anonymous. User identification is retained and may be disclosed as necessary to conduct a fair and accurate investigation, to prevent frivolous or malicious claims, and to mitigate abuse of the reporting process. Users submitting reports are expected to cooperate fully with any inquiry arising therefrom. Abuse of reporting mechanisms may itself constitute a violation of this Code.

B. Using Safety Tools.

We provide tools to empower Users to manage their multiplayer experience responsibly:

1. Mute: Silence disruptive players.

3. Block: Prevent further interactions with specific users.

3. Host Controls: Hosts may mute, block, or remove disruptive players in accordance with this Code. These tools must be used in good faith. Abuse of safety tools, such as retaliatory blocking or frivolous muting, is subject to review and may result in penalties. Users may report suspected misuse through official support channels. Please note that blocking and muting are personal safety tools and have no impact on others’ gameplay experience, unless you are hosting a multiplayer room, where it’s your room, your rules, your choice. You are encouraged to use in-game tools like muting, blocking, and reporting to manage your own experience, but do so responsibly. Do not misuse the reporting system to submit frivolous, malicious, or fake reports. Reports are not anonymous, and abusing these systems to target, retaliate, or harass others (e.g., “brigading” or mass-reporting) is a violation of this Code. Use these tools in good faith to support a safer community for everyone.

C. Moderation Process. Reports are reviewed by moderators or support teams who enforce this Code in real time, using measures such as (i) issuing warnings for minor infractions; (ii) muting or temporarily removing disruptive players; and (iii) escalating severe or complex violations to Synth Riders Support for further investigation. Please note that moderation decisions are made based on a totality of the circumstances, including available evidence, user history, corroborating reports, and the severity of the alleged conduct. The Game retains sole discretion to determine whether conduct violates this Code.

All moderation actions are subject to internal review to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance with this Code. We may, but are not required or obligated to, provide Users with the evidence supporting enforcement actions, and some moderation decisions may be final and not subject to further appeal. We also retain the right to document and preserve moderation records, including communications and supporting materials, for use in any legal or compliance proceeding. Users may request clarification on enforcement actions via support channels.

D. Zero-Tolerance Behaviors. We strictly prohibit doxxing, hate speech, and threats of violence. Violations will result in immediate action, including permanent bans, upon confirmation, including corroborating evidence, witness accounts, or patterns of behavior observed by moderators. We may also pursue additional enforcement actions beyond platform removal, including reporting violations to law enforcement authorities where required by law or where we determine, in our sole discretion, that such action is necessary to protect the safety, integrity, or lawful operation of the Services.

V. ENFORCEMENT

Synth Riders ensures compliance with this Code through proportionate and transparent enforcement actions. Violations are addressed based on their severity, intent, and impact, as determined by Synth Riders moderators or Support.

A. Enforcement Actions. Users who violate this Code may face enforcement actions proportional to the nature and severity of the infraction, to include:

1. Warnings. Non-punitive notices issued for minor infractions or first-time offenses, such as accidental misuse of features or brief disruptions.

2. Temporary Bans. Restriction from all online features for seven (7) to thirty-one (31) days, applied to moderate violations such as intentional disruptions, repeated minor infractions, or harassment.

3. Permanent Bans. Indefinite revocation of access to online features for severe violations, including hate speech, doxxing, threats of violence, or repeated misconduct despite prior warnings or bans, or where continued participation poses a security risk to the community. Security risks may include, without limitation, compromised accounts, distribution of phishing links, or malicious activity facilitated through unauthorized account access. Such violations may result in immediate enforcement action to preserve the safety, integrity, and lawful operation of the Services.

4. Records and Logs. We may retain logs, user communications, and other relevant records for the purpose of investigating violations, enforcing this Code, and defending against legal claims. By using our Services, you consent to our retention and use of such records in accordance with any applicable laws.

Our moderators consider factors such as the severity of the behavior, intent, harm caused, and the User’s enforcement history when determining penalties. Please note that we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate access to any portion of the Services at any time, without notice or liability, for conduct that we believe violates this Code, our Terms, or is otherwise harmful to the interests of the Game’s community.

B. Ban Evasion. Attempts to circumvent bans through alternate accounts, identity spoofing, or other means are strictly prohibited. Users caught evading bans will face escalated penalties, including immediate permanent bans. To detect and deter ban evasion, we employ tools such as IP monitoring, account linkage analysis, and activity tracking. Severe cases of ban evasion may result in reports to platform operators or legal authorities.

C. Appeals Process. Users may appeal enforcement actions through official support channels within fourteen (14) days of the penalty notice. The appeals process includes:

1. Submission. Users must submit a detailed explanation of their appeal and provide any supporting evidence through official support channels.

2. Initial Review. Appeals are reviewed by a designated team based on this Code, available evidence, and the User’s prior enforcement history.

3. Resolution. We will issue a decision within seven (7) business days of receiving the appeal. This decision is final.

Repeated or frivolous appeals may result in additional penalties.
