Synth Riders Rocks the 90s with a new Music Pack!

The 90s was an amazing time for music — it’s a time when rock evolved almost overnight! Now, we’ve got more of it in Synth Riders with the 90s Rock Music Pack (Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR: $7.99 for bundle or $1.99 per song).

SYNTH RIDERS – 90s ROCK MUSIC PACK SETLIST:

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away
FUN FACT: Anthony Kiedis explained in his autobiography, “Scar Tissue,” that this song was inspired by being selfless, giving things up, and letting go…and came out of an impromptu jam session between, Flea’s bassline, Chad Smith on drums, and Kiedis just walking up to the mic.
  • Blur – Song 2
FUN FACT: According to songfacts.com, Song 2 was loaded with loud guitars and cryptic lyrics written to actually poke fun at Grunge music. It ended up being Blur’s biggest hit in the US going on to become an anthem for TV shows, movie trailers…and even a videogame (FIFA)!
  • Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun
FUN FACT: Chris Cornell wrote the song in his head during a 40-minute drive home from Bear Creek Studio. He said, “It sparked from something a news anchor said and I heard wrong. I heard ‘blah blah blah black hole sun blah blah blah’. I thought that would make an amazing song title…but what would it sound like?” The rest is rock history.
  • Radiohead – Creep
FUN FACT: This song was originally made acoustically by Thom Yorke while in college, well before the band formed. The three blasts of guitar noise that precede the chorus? That was the result of guitarist Jonny Greenwood trying to sabotage a tune he considered too “wimpy.”
  • The Presidents of the United States of America – Lump
FUN FACT: This short, sweet 2-minute, 14-second song stumped DJs at radio stations when it dropped in 1995. ‘Lump’ kicks into gear with a drum beat and vocal combo then has this sudden close at the song’s end. It means that the DJ’s couldn’t talk over the intro or outro.

With the 90s Rock Music Pack, iconic 90s riffs from these bands join the 150+ tracks in the freestyle VR rhythm game! Best of all, the pack is available right now! This isn’t Synth Riders’ first trip back to the 1990s – you have been playing the hell out of the Adrenaline Music Pack with hits from The Offspring, Bad Religion, and Rancid, right?
